About Plaza Espana
The Spain square of the city of Mendoza , Province of Mendoza , Argentina , is a space and landmark initiated in 1949 , after the 1861 seismic tremor that crushed the city. As of now, it is a piece of the green space that makes up the Plaza Independencia. Plaza España is situated between España Avenue, Montevideo Street, 9 de Julio Street and San Lorenzo Street of Mendoza City. Perspective of the Plaza from the side of Av. España and San Lorenzo.
Together with the squares of San Martín, Chile and Italy, they shape a symmetry with the edge space of Plaza Independencia, which involves the four focal pieces of its whole region.
