The Tourism Minister of Haryana – Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma has inaugurated the 25th Mango Mela at Pinjore Gardens yesterday. He briefly interacted with the mango growers at mela before attending the formal lamp lighting function. Additional Chief Secretary to Govt. of Haryana - P Raghavendra Rao delivered the welcome speech at the inaugurating festival. Mr. Sharma also congratulated the Tourism Department of Haryana for successfully organizing the Mango Mela, and further stated that there are plan to upgrade the Mango Mela to an international level from next year onwards.
There was a mesmerising sight, sound and light show on the life of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur commemorated to the 300th year of the great Sikh General that left the audience spellbound in the evening cultural programme. Many big names like Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Tourism and Hospitality, Haryana - Seema Trikha, MLA of Panchkula - Gian Chand Gupta, M.L.A. of Kalka - Latika Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary to Govt. of Haryana - VS Kundu, were also present on the special occasion.
