The ICC World Cup is a grand celebration of the spirit of a sport known as the 'Gentleman's Game'. The participating nations and the fans in every country awaits this gala with awe and anticipation. There might be several tournaments in a calender year, but the magic of the ICC World Cup is definitely unmatched.

The stage is all set for the biggest extravaganza of the cricketing world- ICC World Cup 2011! The popularity and the magnanimity of this sporting spectacle has not taken a beating even after the rise of the Twenty 20 format. Once in every four years, the super powers of the cricketing fraternity come together to celebrate their skills and mettle against the equally formidable opponents.

The wait is over; the date is near! This time around the place for this showdown is the three test playing nations in the Indian sub-continent- India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. A total of 14 teams will be fighting for the ultimate crown of being the champions in the 2011 edition of the ICC World Cup.

Fasten your seat belts as you are going to be the witness of all these teams taking on one another from February 19th to April 2nd 2011. The league part will be played within two groups comprising 7 teams each. The top four teams will make it through the semi finals that will be played in Colombo (Sri Lanka) and Mohali (India) respectively. The famous Wankhade Stadium in Mumbai is going to host the much awaited final.

This is the platform where the cricketers bring the passion alive to snatch away the cup and the glory to their own motherlands thereby adding fire and flames to the eternal aura of the Cricket World Cup. Enjoy and experience the tension and nerve of the matches that goes to the wire, a close run out, a dropped catch, a flat six or a breezy innings. See the stars sweating it out under the sun over that 22 yard of war front with the energy, enthusiasm, courage and...a dream.
