About Yale Center for British Art

Situated on Chapel Street on the grounds of Yale University, the Yale Center for British Art contains the biggest gathering of works of British workmanship outside of the United Kingdom. The inside was built up in 1966 when Paul Mellon, a 1929 Yale University graduate, skilled his British workmanship gathering to the college.
The building opened to the general population in 1977 and contains a huge number of illustrations, original copies, works of art, prints, uncommon books, and models from the Elizabethan time frame to the nineteenth century. The accumulation incorporates compositions by Constable, Gainsborough, and some more. Non-English specialists incorporate Canaletto, Holbein, and Rubens. The inside offers numerous instructive projects, presentations, and extraordinary occasions to the general population.
