About New Haven Museum
The New Haven Museum and Historical Society has a mission is to safeguard and present the historical backdrop of the neighborhood. Established in 1862, it was initially known as the New Haven Colony Historical Society. The exhibition hall's gathering incorporates workmanship, curios, furniture, photography, and other noteworthy items that cover New Haven history from the principal settlement up to the present.
Its displays center around neighborhood highlights like East Rock, Winchester, and Yale and on memorable individuals, for example, Benedict Arnold, Noah Webster, Eli Whitney, and some more. The historical center is housed in a 1929 Colonial recovery style building.
