About Union League Cafe
Situated in the wonderful Beaux-Arts Sherman Building in downtown New Haven, Union League Café is a bit of Paris conveyed to Connecticut. Curved windows, lavish dull wood, recolored glass, and the marble chimney along one divider are highlights reminiscent of an upscale Parisian brasserie. Proprietor/Executive Chef Jean Pierre Vuillermet keeps on transporting us to France with his cooking gastronomique with present day touches – it is French customary food with neighborhood fixings that are crisp, occasional, and frequently natural.
The different parts supplement each other brilliantly, and the flavors, surfaces, and hues make for a critical gastronomic ordeal. You should need to enjoy the Duck Leg Confit with potato galette, presented with plate of mixed greens of Granny Smith apple, walnuts, and watercress serving of mixed greens. The wine list is broad and incorporates some well-picked and reasonable French and New World wines.
