About Museum of Newport History

The Museum of Newport History is a history historical center situated in Newport in the Old Brick Market building. American planner Peter Harrison composed the 1760 building, which has been proclaimed a National Historic Landmark and is claimed and worked by the Newport Historical Society.

The gallery includes Newport's history from pre-provincial circumstances to today. It comprises of around 10,000 articles, including fine and enlivening expressions, furniture, melodic instruments, materials and garments, ancient rarities of regular daily existence, and design sections.

A standout amongst the most mainstream displays is the focal point of the Ida Lewis Rock Light. The exhibition hall holds parts of its accumulations in the 1730 Seventh Day Baptist Meeting House, the 1696 Wanton-Lyman-Hazard House, and the 1699 Great Friends Meeting House.
