Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum

It is situated on 206-208 Hill Street, Hannibal, Missouri, on the west bank of the Mississippi River in the United States.The Mark Twain Boyhood Home, now known as the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum. It was the home of Samuel Langhorne Clemens from 1844 to 1853. Clemens, otherwise called creator Mark Twain, found the motivation for a large number of his stories, including the white picket fence, while living here.34 It has been available to people in general as an exhibition hall since 1912 and was assigned a National Historic Landmark on December 29, 1962.2 It is situated in the Mark Twain Historic District.

There are seven extra exhibition hall structures as a component of the complex - the Interpretive Center, Becky Thatcher House, Huck Finn House, J.M Clemens Justice of the Peace Office, Grant's Drug Store, the stone Works Progress Administration WPA building that houses a blessing shop, and the Museum Gallery, situated at 120 N. Fundamental St. The Boyhood Home is one of nine properties that involve the present Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum complex. The incredible whitewashed fence of Tom Sawyer outskirts the property.

The exhibition hall has obtained the "Becky Thatcher" house home of Clemens' youth sweetheart, Laura Hawkins. Its outside has been remodeled and reestablished; the inside is experiencing rebuilding. Amid the late spring of 2006, the historical center finished work on a reproduction of the "Huck Finn" house home of Tom Blankenship, the kid upon whom Twain based the character of Huckleberry Finn. Shows in the Huck Finn House dive into Hannibal's history with bondage.
