Hull House
About Hull House
Hull House is one of the primary social settlements in North America. It was established in Chicago in 1889 when Jane Addams and Ellen Gates Starr leased a surrendered home at 800 South Halsted Street that had been worked by Charles G. Structure in 1856. Twelve extensive structures were added from year to year until the point when Hull House secured a large portion of a city piece and incorporated an adjacent play area and a huge camp in Wisconsin.
Legal challenges by a group bunch sorted out to protect Hull House and the area were unsuccessful. In 1963 the trustees of Hull House sold its properties and received plans for decentralized tasks in different parts of the city. The first Hull house and the bordering feasting lobby were saved pulverization and turned into an exhibition hall
