About Zoo Atlanta

Zoo Atlanta is an Association of Zoos and Aquariums in Georgia. The zoo is one of four zoos in the U.S. right now lodging goliath pandas. Zoo Atlanta was established in 1889, when agent George V. Gress bought a bankrupt voyaging bazaar and gave the creatures to the city of Atlanta. City pioneers picked to house the accumulation in Grant Park, which remains the zoo's available area. Unique occupants of the zoo incorporated a mountain bear, a puma, a hyena, a gazelle, a Mexican hoard, lionesses, monkeys, and camels. In 1970, a little gathering of concerned residents established the Atlanta Zoological Society with expectations of raising assets and mindfulness for the organization.
