About Ben Burton Park

Ben Burton Park is a 32 section of land protected land situated off Mitchell Bridge Road. It includes a hardwood timberland, a 1.2 mile mineral surface circle trail, fourteen open air tables, and two flame broils. Ben Burton Park is the site of a previous hydroelectric producing station worked in 1896 and utilized until 1964. The site was given to the province by Georgia Power in 1967.

In October of 1971 the recreation center was committed to pay tribute to Ben W. Burton, Vice President of Georgia Power. A bit of the recreation center is a piece of a streambank adjustment venture expected to enhance streambank wellbeing and decline disintegration.
