About Garza County Historical Museum
The Garza County Historical Museum houses an extensive gathering of for the most part farm, cattle rustler, Indian, and pioneer ancient rarities situated in a 1912 two-story provincial style working of twenty-six rooms and lobbies in Post, Texas, a network set up by and named for the oat financier C. W. Post.
The exhibition hall is situated at 119 North Avenue N to the correct back of the Garza County Courthouse. A virtual time case, the gallery has space settings, period furniture, a commonplace boondocks sanctuary inside, and some nearby political memorabilia, including materials from the profession of E L Short of Tahoka, a previous individual from the two places of the Texas State Legislature situated in Lynn County. Overseen by Linda G. Puckett of Post, the office is open without charge to the general population from 10 a.m. to twelve and 1 to 5 p.m.
After the conclusion of the museum, the building was obtained by Marshall Mason and worked as the Colonial Apartments. In 1968, the Mason family gave the property to Garza County for use as an exhibition hall. The Garza County Historical Museum is a non-benefit association working for altruistic, logical, scholarly, and instructive purposes. Post is likewise home of the OS Museum, a blend of western and oriental displays, worked by previous Mayor Giles McCrary.
