Enterprise Train Depot

This building was raised in 1903 with increases in 1916 and 1997. The principal cargo shipments and travelers came here in 1898 on the Alabama Midland Railroad quickly after the development of the roadbed. That was likewise the year when the greater part of the block business structures downtown was finished. By 1903 a terminal was required as the transportation focal point of this town. .Line railroad built the Enterprise Train Depot in 1903. Its steam locomotives become the city's gateway to adventure.

Alongside the new Rawls Motel, the terminal turned into a social event put for our residents. In 1974 the Pea River Historical Society bought the warehouse and started working the Depot MuseumIts tracks moved progress and industrial opportunity.Much of the depot's history remains untouched. None of the interiors has changed. The passenger waiting room still holds an authentic bench and an original ticket booth.
