Battleship Memorial Park

The Battleship Memorial Park situated on the western shore of Mobile Bay in Mobile, Alabama is an important military history park. It has a large volume of collections of eminent airplanes and museum ships which incorporates The Gato-class submarine USS Drum and the South Dakota-class battleship USS Alabama.

The USS Alabama and USS Drum both are recognized as the National Historic Landmarks; the recreation center overall was recorded on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage in October, 1977.

The Battleship Memorial Park and exhibition hall is possessed by the territory of Alabama and is controlled by a free government office, the USS Alabama Battleship Commission .The commission comprises of eighteen individuals from over the whole state delegated by the Alabama representative. It has oversight of all tasks at the recreation center.
