Bunker Hill Monument

The Bunker Hill Monument was raised to honor the Battle of Bunker Hill.The 221-foot 67 m stone pillar was raised in the vicinity of 1825 and 1843 in Charlestown, Massachusetts, with rock from adjacent Quincy passed on to the site by means of the reason fabricated Granite Railway, trailed by a trek by freight boat. There are 294 stages to the best.

A show hold up assembled nearby the landmark in the late nineteenth century houses a statue of fallen legend Dr. Joseph Warren. Shelter Hill is one of the destinations along the Freedom Trail and is a piece of Boston National Historical Park.The landmark experienced a $3.7 million remodel, finished in 2007, that included repairs, disable availability upgrades, and new lighting.
