Bivens Arm Nature Park

Bivens Arm is a the City of Gainesville's first nature park. The name alludes to the mucky "arm" that juts from Paynes Prairie along which the recreation center is arranged. One of the enormous astonishments in this urban woodland, trimmed in by roadways and lofts, are the monstrous pine trees you experience along the walk, a progression of circles that gives you a chance to meander up to 1.5 miles on common trails. After a wander through the Gary R. Junior Pavilion, which abuts the willow swamp of Bivens Arm, begin down the footpath, which crosses East Tumblin Creek. The promenade takes after the edge of the bog through an oak and pine woods. At promenade's end, you go to a trail intersection with another posted warning about the gators, since here they can meander up onto the pathway. Turn left at this intersection and go down the slope to take after the trail along the edge of the swamp. Restoration plant develops at the base of an oak tree.
