About Towner Gallery
Towner Art Gallery is situated in Eastbourne, East Sussex, on the south shore of England. It has a standout amongst the most critical open craftsmanship accumulations in the South of England and draws more than 100,000 guests every year. It was portrayed by ITV News as "the area's greatest craftsmanship display", in 2017. It was set up with an inheritance in 1920, from John Chisholm Towner who had filled in as a neighborhood council member. It was first homed in Manor Gardens, nearby Gildredge Park in the Old Town region of Eastbourne.
Opening there in 1923, it shut when the building was sold in 2005. In 2009, it re-opened in a reason fabricated office nearby the Congress Theater, close to Eastbourne's seafront. The Towner Gallery was set up as a venture in 1920 after the passing that time of Alderman John Chisholm Towner, who left 22 artistic creations, 6,000 and directions for the foundation of a craftsmanship exhibition. This estate was made to serve the general population of Eastbourne; the endeavor was endowed to a neighborhood gathering of supporters and the nearby board.
