About Senedd

The National Assembly fabricating houses which are commonly called The Senedd: the debating chamber and three advisory group spaces for the National Assembly for Wales in Cardiff. It is a piece of the National Assembly domain that incorporates Ty Hywel and the Pierhead Building. After two determination forms, the choice was taken that the debating chamber would be on another site, called Site 1E, at Capital Waterside in Cardiff Bay.

The Pritzker Prize-winning engineer Richard Rogers won a global compositional outline rivalry oversaw by RIBA Competitions, to plan the building. The Senedd building is in the former Cardiff Docks, about 3 kilometres south of Cardiff Castle.
