Pinner

Pinner is a metropolis inside the London Borough of Harrow in northwest London, England, 12 miles from Charing Cross. It is likewise in the historical county of Middlesex. Pinner was originally a hamlet, first recorded in 1231 as Pinnora, although the already archaic -ora shows its origins lie no later than 900. The call Pinn is shared with the River Pinn, which runs via the middle of Pinner.

The oldest a part of the town lies across the 14th-century parish church of St. John the Baptist, at the junction of the present day Grange Gardens, The High Street and Church Lane. The earliest surviving non-public living, East End Farm Cottage, dates from the late 15th-century. The village elevated unexpectedly between 1923 and 1939 while a chain of garden estates, such as the architecturally substantial Pinnerwood estate conservation region – encouraged via the Metropolitan Railway – grew around its ancient center.

It was largely from this time onwards that the vicinity including Hatch End, which forms the northeastern part of Pinner assumed plenty of its gift-day suburban individual. The place is now non-stop with neighbouring suburban districts which includes Rayners Lane and Eastcote. Pinner carries a large number of houses built in the 1930s Art Deco style, the maximum grand of which is the Grade II listed Elm Park Court on the junction of West End Lane and Elm Park Road.
