About Oldham Coliseum Theatre

Oldham Coliseum Theater is an auditorium in Oldham, Greater Manchester, England. Found on Fairbottom Street in the town focus, Oldham's Coliseum is a repertory theater which commended its century in 1987. Its inside makes it an extraordinary period exemplary in theater terms, and has seen any semblance of neighborhood entertainers, for example, Eric Sykes, Charlie Chaplin, Dame Thora Hird and Dora Bryan tread its sheets. The historical backdrop of the performance center can be followed back to 1885.

It was initially planned to be a lasting home for the Great American Circus, at that point dependent on Henshaw Street, yet the proprietor of the bazaar, Mr Myers, was not able pay for the finished work. Following a court case, responsibility for building was allowed to Thomas Whittaker, the craftsman who had played out the work. Whittaker chose to open the Coliseum as a theater and the principal generation was called Culver's Circus. Other prominent proprietors of the performance center incorporate Paul Yates, originator and proprietor of Yates' Wine Lodge.
