About New Wimbledon Theatre
Theater Opened in 1910, this building is a Grade II recorded Edwardian auditorium that is the main British playhouse to home a Victorian-style Turkish shower in its storm cellar.
An odd element for a theater, however, it has made it one of the more individual structures and its terrific scale makes it the eighth biggest venue in London, and all 1670 seats, the auditorium has showcased a wide iety of shows for all theatre lovers.
Lionel Bart’s Oliver! was first premiered in 1960 and the stage has seen the likes of Warwick Davis, Priscilla Presley, Jo Brand and David Hasselhoff gracing the famed performance space.
