Canterbury Roman Museum

Canterbury Roman Museum's story started on what seemed, by all accounts, to be a somewhat unremarkable day in 1868. Whenever laborers, burrowing trenches for another seepage framework, achieved eight feet beneath road level they accidentally uncovered a flawlessly protected Roman floor mosaic. Quick forward to the fallout of the Second World War, when unearthings started under the basements of shops crushed by besieging, and another startling revelation was made.

Archeologists had quite recently uncovered an under-floor warming framework, divider artistic creations, and a stunning mosaic passageway. The site was never again a segregated floor mosaic, however the remaining parts of an expansive, and no uncertainty expensive, Roman Town House.
