About Cambridge University Museum of Zoology

The University Museum of Zoology is a historical center of the University of Cambridge and part of the examination group of the Department of Zoology. The Museum houses a broad accumulation of logically imperative zoological material.

The accumulations were assigned in 1998 by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council now oversaw by the Arts Council England as being of exceptional chronicled and global significance.

The Museum is one of the eight historical centers of the University of Cambridge Museums consortium.

A considerable lot of the accumulations were collected amid the nineteenth century, which was a key period for the advancement of present day science. A great part of the material was gathered in the vicinity of 1865 and 1915 through private accumulations and endeavors.

Cambridge was a focal point of significant significance for the advancement of science, and a few of the people related with the Museum were focal figures in the most dynamic regions of logical open deliberation.
