About Bath Abbey
The Nunnery Church of Holy person Subside and Holy person Paul, Bath, regularly known as Shower Convent, is an Anglican area church and a previous Benedictine religious community and a proto Co-house of prayer in Shower, Somerset, England.
Founded in the seventh century, Shower Monastery was revamped in the tenth century and modified in the twelfth and sixteenth hundreds of years; significant reclamation work was completed by Sir George Gilbert Scott in the 1860s.
It is one of the biggest cases of Opposite Gothic design in the West Nation. The basilica was united to Wells House of God in 1538 after the monastery was broken down in the Disintegration of the Religious communities, yet the name of the ward has stayed unaltered.
