About Bucak
Bucak is a district and the biggest town of Burdur Province, Turkey. The town's population was 35,621. It was in the past named "Oguzhan"; the name was changed on 30 May 1926. It is said that the name Oguzhan originated from the Oghuz Turks who settled in this town. Bucak has great associations with different parts of Turkey. Antalya lies 75 km toward the south, Isparta 70 km to upper east and Burdur 40 km toward the northwest. Neighboring towns incorporate Celtikci and Aglasun toward the north and Kemer toward the west. A couple of notable structures and houses remain, yet the majority of the structures are present day.
There are a few memorable locales staying in the region, for example, the antiquated Cremna and Milyos and the Seljuk-time caravanserais of Incirhan and Susuz Kervansaray. There are many marble assets around Bucak, and a considerable lot of the occupants manage marble, or, in other words the marble manufacturing plants situated around Bucak. The handled marble is traded everywhere throughout the world. Numerous business people from Bucak have fabricated secondary schools and instructive organizations, including Bucak Hikmet Tolunay Vocational Institute, Bucak Zeliha Tolunay Practical Technology and Business Faculty, Bucak Adem Tolunay Science High School, and Mehmet Cadıl Anatolian Teacher Training High School.
