The Villa Jeanneret-Perret also known as Maison blanche is the first impartial challenge through Swiss architect Le Corbusier. Built in 1912 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Charles-Edouard Jeanneret's native land, it became designed for his dad and mom. Open to the general public due to the fact 2005, the house is below the patronage of the Swiss National Commission for UNESCO and has been proposed by means of the Swiss Government for inscription at the World Heritage List.
In February 1912, Charles-Edouard Jeanneret opened his own architectural office in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the metropolis wherein he was born and in which he started out his career after completing his training at the superior course of the Ecole d'Art. The architect who later took the call "Le Corbusier" become 25 years vintage. He had distanced himself from the spirit of Art Nouveau, travelled in Europe and within the Middle East, found out from the masters of present day architecture.
The "Maison blanche" turned into his first unbiased assignment and a completely personal creation. Jeanneret himself lived and worked inside the house from 1912 to 1915. In 1919, the residence changed into bought. It had many owners in the path of the century till 2000, when it became bought and restored via the "Association Maison blanche" which opened it to the public in 2005.
