Schreibmaschinen Museum Beck

The Schreibmaschinen Museum Beck is a Zurich-based memorial institution that displays around 300 famous from the beginnings of writing and workplace automation. The museum is positioned inside the industrial area of Pfaffikon, Canton Zurich, on Speckstrasse 3. Exhibits are restored typewriters and calculators. Among them are the typewriters synthetic in Switzerland Saturn vintage 1898, produced in miles, in addition to the Hermes, manufactured by means of Paillard in Yverdon-les-Bains and the Darling of Gertsch in Fleurie.

The calculating machines Demos of Theo Muggli Zurich, Loga of Daemon Schmid, Uster and Zurich, and the Billeter have been also synthetic in Switzerland. See the smallest mechanical calculating machine in the world, the Curta, made in Liechtenstein. The data incorporate part of the correspondence of Ferdinand M. Kleefeld, a unique repair shop for writing and calculating machines in Bern from the 1910s, as well as a huge a part of the estate of Curt Herzstark, the inventor of the Curta calculating device. The Typewriter Museum Beck is affiliated to the Association of Swiss Museums.
