About Semana Santa Holy Week

Málaga is known for its unrestrained and fabulous Holy Week festivities. This is a great time to visit, when fabulous religious parades breath life into the city.

The custom of Holy Week goes back over 500 years, from the season of the Catholic Monarchs' Reconquest of Andalusia.

An enjoyment for every one of the faculties, the night parades include sumptuous buoys showing consecrated symbols joined by vivacious walking groups or artists singing flamenco tunes.

Adding to the feel, a large number of penitents take after the parade course conveying flashing candles. The Museo de la Semana Santa Museum of Holy Week is found on Calle Muro, housed in the seventeenth century Antiguo Hospital de San Julián doctor's facility.

The historical center presentations 150 unique shows in topical classifications, for example, figures, trousseau pictures, and processional pictures.

Guests will appreciate the broad gathering of religious figures, conventional outfits, and symbols utilized amid Holy Week parades, while finding out about the provincial traditions
