About Benavente

Benavente is a town and district in the north of the area of Zamora, in the independent network Castile and Leon of Spain. It has around 20,000 occupants. Found north of the capital on an essential interchanges center point, it was repopulated by King Ferdinand II of Leon, who likewise granted it law-codes a fuero in 1167.   • Parador de Turismo Fernando II, which involves the Caracol Tower, a 16th century palace with wide segmental miradors and a Mudejar coffered roof in the principle area
  • Church of Santa Maria de Azogue, in Romanesque style, started in 1180. It has a Latin cross arrangement, with a nave and two walkways, isolated by cruciform pilasters, with five apses. The nave has Gothic cross vaults included the 16th century. The inside is home of a few Gothic figures, for example, that of the "Annunciation"
