Sukhoy Log

Sukhoy Log is a town and the authoritative focus of Sukholozhsky District in Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia, situated on the eastern inclines of the Ural Mountains on the Pyshma River Ob's bowl, 114 kilometers east of Yekaterinburg, the regulatory focal point of the oblast. As of the 2010 Census, its populace was 34,554. It was established in 1710 as the sloboda of Sukholozhskaya. In 1847, coal stores were prospected in the region, and the town filled in as a coal mining focus until the 1860s.

Urban-type settlement status was allowed to Sukhoy Log in 1932 and town status in 1943. Inside the system of authoritative divisions, Sukhoy Log fills in as the regulatory focal point of Sukholozhsky District. As a managerial division, it is fused inside Sukholozhsky District as the Town of Sukhoy Log. As a civil division, the town of Sukhoy Log is, as one with each of the 25 rustic areas in Sukholozhsky District, joined as Sukhoy Log Urban Okrug.
