Pervouralsk

Pervouralsk is a city in Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia, located on the Chusovaya River 39 kilometers west of Yekaterinburg, the place of work of the oblast. A monument that symbolizes the border among the continents of Europe and Asia is located two kilometers from the city. History of Pervouralsk started in 1730, while Vasily Demidov started the building of the iron-making factory. It produced pipes for greater than 200 years. On December 1, 1732, the manufacturing facility commenced running; this date is now considered the legitimate date of the metropolis's basis.

The village around the factory turned into named Vasilyevsko-Shaytansky. In 1920, the village became renamed Pervouralsk. After constructing Pervouralsky Novotrubny Works in 1933, the village become granted city popularity. Within the framework of the administrative divisions, it is together with 29 rural localities, integrated because the City of Pervouralsk, an administrative unit with the status identical to that of the districts. As a municipal division, the City of Pervouralsk is included as Pervouralsk Urban Okrug.
