About Amara
Amara is a city in Ialomita County , Muntenia , Romania , made up of Amara village, and Amara Noua village . It is positioned within the critical a part of the Baragan Plain , 7 km northeast of the Slobozia municipality within the same county. Includes its Amara Permanent Resort , 2 km far from the city of the same name. The vicinity has been documented because the time of Prince Matei Basarab , who has endowed his monastery built in Slobozia with numerous lands on the brink of Lake Amara.
Written files were preserved given that the second one half of the 16th century. In 1864, through secularization of the monasteries , those lands had been taken over by using the kingdom. The first solid settlements within the contemporary territory of the locality have been recorded inside the years 1857 - 1859 , whilst agencies of mocanes from the components of Fagaras and Muscel were established here , to which different groups of shepherds have been introduced between 1864 - 1866 ; they constructed huts and huts across the lake, forming a hamlet known as the Yellow Bush or Yellow Pole.
