About Soares dos Reis National Museum
This authentic focus was built up in 1833 as an introduction of religious workmanship appropriated from Portuguese people group.
An impressive measure of these pieces is still on display, while a huge piece of the earlier workmanship was taken from aficionados of the rejected King Miguel I.
It is named for António Soares dos Reis, a nineteenth-century craftsman from Vila Nova de Gaia on the south bank of the Douro.
There are two or three pieces by Soares dos Reis here and furthermore other vaunted Portuguese painters and craftsmen like Silva Porto, Vieira Portuense, Domingos Sequeira and Miguel Ângelo Lupi.
