Hamsunstugu

Hamsunstugu was the for the group of the worldwide known creator from 1852 until the point that they moved to Hamarøy in 1862.

Knut Hamsun was conceived August fourth, 1859, and sanctified through water in the old fight church at Systun Garmo August 28th that year.

The congregation is today in the outside gallery Maihaugen. The house was sold to Hesthagen where they utilized it as a smithy until right away before 1940.

The house was moved back to Garmostrædet and reestablished in time for the 100 anniversary of his introduction to the world in 1959.
