About Helmond
Helmond is a municipality and a town inside the Metropoolregio Eindhoven of the province of North Brabant in the southern Netherlands. Helmond has many fabric agencies. The Vlisco manufacturing facility is positioned next to the Zuid-Willemsvaart canal which runs through the city. The call 'Helmond' can be traced lower back to a aggregate of Hel, which means that "low-mendacity", and Mond, which could consult with a better ground, comfortable region. The call has not anything to do with the modern literal translation of Hell Mouth.
In 1241 a primary coat of hands became created, containing a helmet as a connection with the word Helmond, given that this early in history the ancient meaning of the city call turned into already misplaced to its inhabitants. This helmet could represent the fortified medieval city. Originally a medieval pot helmet, this turned into later adapted to a new style fashion and is now a event helmet. The o.K.Branches symbolizing freedom. The chicken in the branches is a medieval ornament and has no meaning.
