About Maha Aung Mye Bonzan Monastery
The Maha Aung Mye Bonzan Monastery is a fine case of Burmese religious community engineering amid the Konbaung administration. The cloister, otherwise called the Brick Monastery is an all-around protected working in ochre shading. The extremely fancy structure is beautified with complex stuccoed figures.
The Maha Aung Mye Bonzan Monastery was worked by Queen Me Nu, spouse of King Bagyidaw of the Konbaung administration in 1818 as the home of the Royal Abbott. It is otherwise called Me Nu Oak Kyaung which means Me Nu's block cloister.The Monastery is one of the famous and well known by the people.
