Dar al-Makhzen or Palais Royale is an illustrious royal residence of the Alaouite sultan in the city of Fez, Morocco. The royal residence is situated in Fes Jdid quarter. It has a zone size of 80 hectares, and known for the metal door ornamented with zellige tilework and cut cedar woods. The royal residence isn't available to the public.
The current door was a current redesign, based on the remains of the old entryway. The royal residence is arranged before the Mechouar Square, which is available through Mawlai al-Hassan Street. It is near Bab Depakene, one of the entryways of Fez.
