About Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park

It is a marine park which covers 50 sq km and includes five islands, Gaya, Manukan, Mamutik, Sapi and Sulug. Each of these islands offers diving and snorkeling. They have a number of trekking trails. All the islands are easily accessible from Kota Kinabalu, one hour away and it takes 15 minutes to reach there. You can get quite crowded during weekends. In Marine park there are resorts also so that tourist can stay here for few days. You can visit here throughout the year as there is no real monsoon season. However, between the months of November and February, you might experience more rainfall, occasionally rough seas and less visibility under water. So you can avoid that month.
