Takato Museum of Arts

Inside Takato is the habitation of the town's most seasoned dealer, which is available to open as the Ikegami Residence Merchant Folk Material Museum. The Takato Local History Museum remains along the edge of Lake Takato-ko, showing the palanquins utilized as a part of the Toro-matsuri Festival, or lamp celebration, celebrated in fall.

Inside the exhibition hall is a notable site called the Ejima Kakomi-yashiki habitation. Ejima was a high-positioning woman who served Gekkoin, the admirer of the 6th shogun, Tokugawa Ietada. Ejima was however ousted on the grounds that she didn't satisfy her obligation. She lived in this living arrangement until the point that she passed away at 61 years old..
