About Nanen-do

To start with the built in 813, Nanendo was initially one among a large number of the structures at Kofukuji, the tutelary sanctuary of the Fujiwara clan.There are ious places to see which is historical and ancient and vistors come to see these places.

It is situated at the edge of Nara Park and it is the ninth stop on the Saigoku Kannon journey and one of only a handful few with an octagonal corridor.

The lobby's Fukukensaku Kannon and different fortunes are indicated just once per year on October 17.
