Tunganath is a critical heavenly place settled on the Chandrashila Peak at a height of 3680 m above ocean level. Viewed as one of the 'Panch Kedars', this place has the most astounding sanctuary committed to Hindu God, Lord Shiva. As indicated by Hindu folklore, in this place the hand of Lord Shiva was discovered when his body in the bull shape returned at five better places. The sanctuary is cherished with a 2.5 ft high statue of Adi Guru Shankaracharya alongside a Shivalingam.
This place offers appealing perspectives of the Kedarnath pinnacles, Gangotri and Yamunotri. The Nandadevi Temple and Akash Ganga Waterfall are the adjacent vacationer hotspots. Chopta is the closest street go to achieve this sanctuary.
