Tomb Of Khwaja Khizr

This beautiful tomb was built over the mortal remains of  Khwaja Khizr, This is a very special tomb as it is made of  'kankar' blocks  used along with red standstone which is very rare. The tomb has square protections at its corners, and is approachable through wide stairs which are leading to its gateway. The gateway consists of two openings at the  central passage,It is decorated with designs  in blue, yellow, green and dull red colours. The burial chamber is in shape of a hemispherical dome, standing on an octagonal shape, that has a finial resting over an lotus flower as its crown.This tomb complex of Kwaja Khizr, son of Darya Khan Sarwani, Tombs are the places that reminds us of old ages this tomb was built in 1522 AD, and tombs like taj mahal has really took it to a new level, Hence this is also worth visiting, if You are looking to visit sonipat then you should definitely go to this place atleast once in lifetime.
