Suryanar Kovil

Suryanar Kovil is also know by the name of Suryanar Temple is a Hindu temple devoted to the divinity Hindu Sun-God, situated in Suryanar Kovil, a town close to the South Indian town of Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu, India. The directing divinity is Suriyanar, the Sun and his consorts Ushadevi and Pratyusha Devi.

The temple is one of only a handful couple of notable temples devoted to Sun god and is likewise the main temple in Tamil Nadu which has holy places for all the planetary divinities.
