About Sunheri Mahal

Sunheri Mahal is a palace placed on the foothill of the Aurangabad Caves inside the Paharsingpura area of Aurangabad. It is one of the pinnacle locations to visit in Aurangabad. Soneri Mahal became constructed through a Bandalkand leader who observed Aurangzeb into the Dakhan. The Mahal turned into built between 1651 AD and 1653 AD at a price of Rs. 50,000 and in 1934 AD it become sold to the Nizam of Hyderabad for Rs. 26,400.
The Mahal is called after the art work within the palace that had been as soon as painted in gold. It is a grand two stored building built in typical Rajput fashion. The palace is made of lime and stone. Sprawling over storeys, the palace stands as a sworn statement of Indian architectural splendor with some difficult decorations all over. A properly-manicured garden provides to its splendor. The front of the Palace is adorned with fantastically executed arches.
This historical ancient monument is now converted into a museum. It turned into set up in 1979 and reveals the remnants of nearby palaces, vintage objects, coins, historical Indian Pottery, art work and many extra eye-catching objects. The museum also presentations some fundamental reliefs and sculptures located inside the nearby excavations. This museum is positioned inside the campus of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University.
