Sunaparanta

Sunaparanta, Goa Centre for the Arts is a cultural centre in Altinho, Panjim and Goa. Its professional website describes it as a non income, system based totally initiative to encourage creation, getting to know, information, appreciation and leisure of the visible arts via training and dialogue in Goa. The centre has exhibition galleries, space for workshops and lectures, studios, residency rooms for touring students, artists and school, an open air amphitheatre, an out of doors courtyard that homes the Cafe Al Fresco and a gallery for emerging artists.

An art resource library is being installation for art students. It is located inside the picturesque Altinho hills atop the Goan capital of Panjim in Ilhas. The nearest landmark is the nearby hostel known as the Lar de Estudantes. Sunaparanta was installation by means of industrialist Dattaraj Salgaocar. Its goals and objectives, in line with the group, is to keep the creative and legacies of Goa, to inspire, sponsor and sell innovative paintings inside the visual arts, to serve as a bridge among the Goan art community and the national and international artwork communities and, most significantly to offer resource help to art college students and others interested in art.
