St. Johns Church

St. John's Church is yet another building savor the experience of the antiquated city of Meerut. The area church was established by the British Army clergyman, Rev. Henry Fischer to serve the privately positioned military battalion. The heavenly spot has been a quiet onlooker of the extraordinary Sepoy Mutiny. The vast pipe organ that had once went with a 1000-in number assembly of youthful British fighters as they sang songs still stands inside. The structure of the building fits in with a style that a large portion of the English ward places of worship used to take after before the Gothic Revival. The building is displayed on the Palladian or traditional style, which was appropriate to nearby conditions.
