About Sri Venkata Ramana Temple

Sri Venkata Ramana Temple situated in Karkala is prevalently known as Padu Tirupathi, which implies Tirupathi of West and at a separation of 37 Kms from Udupi and 50 Kms from Mangalore. This temple is over 550 years of age and houses the antiquated symbol of Lord Srinivasa of Tirupathi.As per legend, a group of Gowda Saraswat Brahmins brought Lord Venkat Ramana's statue from Goa, settled in Karkala and manufactured a temple.

At the point when the leaders of Mangalore assaulted the temple, the temple was decimated and symbol was lost.
