Shaheed Smarak is understood across the world for its breathtaking fresco by means of the the world over acclaimed artist Beohar Rammanohar Sinha and his colleagues from Santiniketan at the walls, balcony, parapet and tremendous dome. The critical theme of the frescoes is India's battle of independence fought among 16th and 19th century AD, starting with Rani Durgavati gearing-up in opposition to Moghul Emperor Akbar's assault on Gondwana. Painted through the well-known Beohar Rammanohar Sinha, that is the first portray ever made on Rani Durgavati.
Dr Rajendra Prasad and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru visited Jabalpur for the laying of foundation stone and for the inauguration of Shaheed Smarak. The idead of provincial congress committee in 1950s became to assemble an auditorium within the shape of a miniaturized version of Delhi's Parliament House with a corridor within the middle, a hall strolling round it, and rooms for artwork and cultural activities, art gallery, library, and so forth., inside the periphery. As the then President of PCC, Seth Govindas were given the Shaheed Smarak finished very successfully and nicely on time. It is currently being looked-after by using a Public Trust.
