The Sarthana Park is also run by the Surat Municipal Corporation SMC. The park is situated at the north-east corner of the Surat city. The area is covered about eighty one acres where river Tapi lies on the northern side and the Surat-Kamrej road lies to its southern side. The place is an ideal place of development of zoo and natural habitat design. Vegetated with many tress like eucalyptus, Casein and mangoes and many others provided a much greener view.
The zoo was established in the year 1984 in south Gujarat where it inhabits many animals like lions. Pelican, flamingo, four-horned antelope, parrots, white peafowl, pythons, lorry dusky, hog dears, and ious kind of birds. The place is loved by all ages either it be a kid or adults. The park is highly maintained where one needs to explore it about two to three hours.
The park exhibits food court with good canteen folk and a service to pay off. River boating is their which relaxes the mind of the visitors. The opening period is at 10 am and closing period is at 5pm. The park is closed on Monday and on eve of Dhuleti, moharum and Ganesh visarjan.
