Safilguda Lake

Safilguda lake, also called Nadimi Cheruvu and Mini Tank Bund, is a lake placed in Secunderabad, Telangana, India. There is a park adjacent to the lake called Safilguda Lake Park. The lake has a small island called Nadimi Bird Island. It is covered with thick timber, which are a magnet for an expansion of flora and fauna, specially migratory birds. Katta Misamma Temple is placed on the coastline of the lake. The avenue across the lake is much like the Necklace Road around the "tank bund" at the Hussain Sagar Lake and consequently the lake is also referred to as "Mini Tank Bund".

The park is a famous enchantment for going for walks and night walks. The Hyderabad Urban Development Authority restored the lake in 2000 underneath the Conservation and Restoration Project of Green Hyderabad Environment Programme. It have become a famous pastime region for the residents of nearby colonies. Several years later, lake became polluted because of loss of protection and negligence of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
